Becoming courageous

There’s no way to simply learn to be courageous, that’s just something that you have to develop as a skill. There is no way for someone to tell you exactly how to have courage, they can only tell you what courage is, and then you have to try and meet that definition when possible. If you want to be remembered for acts of gallantry, you don’t have to go around killing people, there are many more passive ways. You could stand up for justice in the legal system, for example, even though everything around you is telling you to do the opposite. Really courage is a very subjective term, and since there’s no exact definition, it’s quite hard to “become courageous”. However, having courage is about standing up in the face of danger, in the fact of overwhelming odds, or doing things not just for a material gain.

Selfless acts such as working for charity could be considered to be courageous. There really are so many ways to be courageous, and the chances are that you’ve probably matched one of them at some point in your life. Courage is inside everyone, there is no reason to think that you don’t have it, because that’s not true. You just have to be able to call upon it when you need it, and that’s something you have to slowly develop over time.
